Cork SHC Semi-final/Erin's Own 1-15 St Finbarr's 0-14:Champions Erin's Own needed a late scoring spree to deny a Ronan Curran-inspired St Finbarr's and qualify for the county final, against Newtownshandrum, at Páirc Uí Chaoimh yesterday.
The holders trailed 0-14 to 0-12 entering the closing minutes, but they produced 1-3 to seal victory.
St Finbarr's led 0-8 to 0-7 at the break. It took a fine save by Erin's Own goalkeeper Shay Bowen to deny Robert O'Mahony in the 56th minute. Curran pointed the resulting 65.
Eoghan Murphy scored two points to restore equality and then in the second minute of injury-time Michael Murphy pounced for the decisive goal.
Mark O'Connor's shot was parried by goalkeeper Fergal O'Mahony only for Murphy to poke the rebound over the line.
Then, Eoghan Murphy pointed from way out on the right.
