AFTER the "Style on the Nile" Chris Eubank turns his attention to a "duel in Dubai" tonight with the "Brighton Braggarad" full of Eastern promise.

The Hove showman takes on little known Colombian Camilo Hernandez Alarcon in a 10-round light-heavyweight clash believing victory will take him a step closer to a world title shot.

Eubank is understood to be targeting a battle with WBA and IBF champion Virgil Hill or possibly a fight with Germany's WBO title-holder Dariusz Michalczewski.

However, Hill and the unbeaten Michalczewski are set to touch gloves in a forthcoming bout, with the American's two titles on the line.

The WBC crown is currently held by Montel Griffin following his victory over Roy Jones at the weekend, but Eubank is confident of giving the Middle East its first world title bout in May.

He said: "I am setting up a world title fight now for May 15th, which will be in Abu Dhabi. Any championship l can get hold of is good. It gives me credibility for what I am doing."

However, the former WBO super-middleweight champion did little to enhance that credibility with a predictably routine five-round stoppage of Argentinian Luis Barrera in Cairo in October in the first leg of his comeback.

It is a move which has attracted stern criticism, with his battle with Bogota-born and Miami-based Alarcon, who has not fought for a year, only adding to the scorn.

Although Alarcon is number six in the WBO ratings, Eubank said: "l am a clean living man. l have always lived a spartan life.

"I don't have extra-marital affairs, I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke and I go to bed on time. l am a health nut. Nor was I marked during my former career.

"So when people say to me `Is it a serious comeback?' I say absolutely. 100 per cent. I am confident about it."

Eubank believes victory over - the "come-forward, boxer-puncher" Alarcon, who has a points defeat to WBA super-middleweight champion Steve Little on his record, will take him to four in the WBO rankings

But while Eubank claims the fight is being broadcast to 110 countries, with a potential viewing audience of 800 million, the bout is attracting little interest in Britain in particular, failing to get a TV deal.

Eubank said: "People are more interested in a title fight, which l can understand. They will sitm up and take notice after l beat this man.

Trying to mount a legitimate comeback in foreign climes is also proving to be a trying affair. He said: "I have been here for three months, preparing for and promoting this fight.

"I have had to train in this heat all this time. I am now ready to fight. I want to get it behind me now because I have had enough from being away from my family."
