Real Madrid's German coach Jupp Heynckes has kept quiet on what tactics he will use to overcome the opponents from his homeland.

Defenders Christian Panucci and Manuel Sanchis are likely to win their race against time to overcome various minor muscular problems.

Fernando Sanz, the son of the controversial Real Madrid president, has been told by Heynckes that he is likely to start in central defence in place of the suspended Fernando Hierro.

With Raul Gonzalez having made a return to form, playing in a deeper position than he has done in the past, it means there is unlikely to be a place in the starting line-up for either Brazilian midfielder Savio or Croatian striker Davor Suker.

Dortmund's central defender Juergen Kohler will be missing tonight, as will fellow international Joerg Heinrich. Both have groin injuries. The are expected to be replaced by Rene Schneider and Knut Reinhardt respectively.

With libero Wolfgang Feiersinger suspended, Dortmund coach Nevio Scala is expected to call on 32-yearold Manfred Binz, who arrived midseason from Italian club Brescia.

"We have had so many injury problems this season but we have worked our way back to where we are at the moment," Scala said. "Like all teams at this stage, I'm going to the Bernabeu with the objective of scoring a goal."
