On Anthony Lynch . . . "Thrives on plenty of pace which enables him to sweep across the full-back line and tidy up any dangerous situation. Always displays a distinct bravery, and will dive on a boot if necessary. Performed very well in the Munster final but was under a little pressure with Kieran McDonald against Mayo. He recovered well towards the end although he'll be confronting one of the most dangerous forwards in the country here and will need to be on his toes from the start."

On Ollie Murphy . . . "With a bustling and no-nonsense style, he operates in wide open spaces, playing up front in isolation with Graham Geraghty. He will take his defender on with a direct and hard style of running but we have to assume he has made a full recovery from injury. If he can shake off Lynch, then there will be only one outcome in that we can expect to witness the full extent of his clinical finishing."

On Anthony Lynch. . ."A strong, reliable and fast defender. Maybe a little young but has been the find of the season as far as Cork are concerned. Has been the most consistent of the Cork full back line this season. In some of the previous games he had to do a lot of covering for the rest of the full-back line but I think he'll do very well in a one-on-one on Murphy."

On Ollie Murphy . . . "Has developed into one of Meath's strongest attackers this year, with a lot more physical strength than a few years ago. A good ball winner and an excellent finisher, especially against Dublin. In the past he's been a little inconsistent throughout games but that seems to be cured this year. Seems to be over the injury and will carry a lot of Meath's hopes in the absence of Tommy Dowd."
