Schools' Rugby: Limerick sides Castletroy College and St Nessan's Community College will meet in the fourth round of the Munster Schools' Junior Cup after both sides scored dramatic third-round wins in extra time yesterday.
Castletroy College needed a converted try from outhalf Ronan O'Mahony in the third minute of second-half injury time to force their tie with Newtown School into extra time. Newtown looked set to advance when leading 10-3 at the end of normal time thanks to a fine try by scrumhalf Richard Dunne. Captain
David Martin won the game for Castletroy in extra time when his try in the final minute gave his side a 15-10 victory.
Meanwhile, two tries from Declan Cusack helped visitors St Nessan's overcome Glenstal 20-8 in another pulsating game which went into overtime.
The sides finished level at 8-8 after 60 minutes, with Ray Mayer for St Nessan's and Glenstal's Tim Gleeson scoring well-worked tries.
