Kieren Fallon ended a frustrating five-day wait to put himself into the history books as he finally found the elusive 200th winner yesterday. Fallon became the first jockey since Gordon Richards in 1952 to complete a third double-century in a row when the odds-on chance Alva Glen obliged in the second race at Nottingham.

Fallon (34) was relieved after undertaking a punishing schedule this week to reach the 200. "I'm just glad it's all over," he said.

"When I went down south to ride for Henry Cecil I didn't find that nerve-wracking and even when going out on Oath in the Derby I wasn't too worried. But this week was the first time I was starting to get worried."

Determined to reach the 200 mark he went to Pontefract on Monday but rode only two horses before giving up after tiredness got the better of him.
