Kieren Fallon, who has been ruled out of Saturday's Vodafone Derby after being banned for three days at Ayr last week, will be hoping for better luck with his rides in the feature races at Epsom tomorrow. He partners Flight Of Fancy in the Vodafone Oaks, and Petrushka in the Coronation Cup. Both fillies are trained by Sir Michael Stoute, who also has Gay Heroine in tomorrow's Classic.

Fallon's appeal against his suspension failed at the Jockey Club on Tuesday but the jockey was philosophical about the outcome. "I hoped I would get it shifted a day but like everything else it wasn't happening." Fallon added: "Both horses have got a great chance - I would like to have been on either.

"It's not going to be a big field so it's going to make it easier for the jockeys. A couple of Derbys I have ridden in have been maximum fields where you always get a lot of trouble. This year should be pretty handy."

A total of 14 fillies will lineup for the Oaks, with John Dunlop's Time Away the only withdrawal at yesterday's final declaration stage.

Frankie Dettori has been claimed by Godolphin to ride the maiden Najah, leaving Richard Hughes to take the mount on Pretty Polly Stakes winner Mot Juste.

Fallon will be reunited with Stoute's Petrushka for the first time since finishing fourth in last season's Oaks when the filly runs in the Coronation Cup, which has attracted a six-runner field.

Petrushka will face stiff opposition, with the likes of Mutafaweq and Millenary - the last two winners of the St Leger - in the line-up.

Henry Cecil, who has never won the prestigious contest, saddles Wellbeing and permit holder Luke Comer runs Chimes At Midnight.

Irish conditional jockey Tony Coyle will face a Jockey Club inquiry today after failing to take a drugs test at Lingfield in March.

Coyle was due to ride Harem Scarem for Lisa Williamson in a two-mile handicap chase on March 16th when his name was drawn out by officials carrying out a random dope test.

He was due to give a sample but claimed he was unwell, forfeited the mount and left the track.

It is the first time a jockey has been asked for a sample and has not provided one without a legitimate excuse. His case will be heard by the disciplinary committee at 11.00 am.
