UNDER-21 CHAMPIONSHIPS/Derry 1-14 Tyrone 1-7:AARON KERRIGAN'S 1-4 tally helped Derry dump a fancied Tyrone team out of the Ulster Under-21 Football Championship at Healy Park last night.

Kerrigan banged in a 59th-minute goal, but Derry should have had the game wrapped up long before.

A Mattie Donnelly goal gave Tyrone a slender lead with 10 minutes to play, but Derry outscored their opponents 1-5 to 0-1 in the closing stages.

Derry eased ahead through Kerrigan and James Kielt, but Tyrone enjoyed a productive spell towards the end of the opening quarter, when excellent scores from Niall McKenna and Peter Harte saw them go ahead for the first time.

But they scored just one point in the remaining 19 minutes of the half.

Tyrone led 11 minutes into the second half when Diarmuid McNulty Donnelly got his goal.

But they managed just one further point.
