Fantastic Light impressed American workwatchers and British bookmakers yesterday with a scintillating five-furlong work-out prompting Coral to cut his odds to 5 to 2 joint favourite from 3 to 1 for the Breeders' Cup Classic.
Coral have eased Galileo to 5 to 2 from 9 to 4.
"The Godolphin camp are oozing confidence in Fantastic Light. Already many British punters are backing Frankie (Dettori) to improve on Swain's third place in the race three years ago", said Coral spokesman Simon Clare.
William Hill report strong interest in a host of horses for Saturday's races at Belmont Park, with the most significant support for the United States Aptitude, Tiznow and Include in the Classic.
"The Breeders' Cup has lit up over the last 24 hours, with the Europeans arriving in town and the home team finalising their preps the final pieces of the jigsaw are falling in to place," said Hills spokesman David Hood.
"It looked like the European team was our strongest ever but it is significant that the best money has been for the US horses on Monday and Tuesday."
Other significant movers include Irish Prize (5 to 1 from 6) and Affirmed Success (6 from 8) in the Mile, With Anticipation (7 from 8) in the Turf, Starine (7 from 8) in the Fillies & Mares Turf and You (2 from 7-4) in the Juvenile Fillies.
