There were only three races in the early-season phase of the Leinster Federation's league in March and it did not resume as scheduled on August 29th as most of the personnel involved in the organisation of the competition were with the Junior Tour. However, Richie Beatty said it will be completed with two more events.

The calendar is blank this weekend but the league swings back into action tomorrow week (11.00 a.m.) on the circuit behind Dublin Airport at the Boot Inn and it finishes at the same venue on September 26th.

Colm Farrell is the leader in the league with 24 points to 23 for Mick O'Donnell with Willy Byrne next on 19, then Kieran MacMahon on 16 and Bill Moore on 14. Farrell won the opening event, was fifth in the second one which MacMahon won and was third behind Byrne and Ray Clarke in the third race. However, most of those to the fore in the league are finished for the season so someone well down the list could win the last two events and scoop the pool.

Brian Kenneally, who leaves tomorrow with Clarke, Ciaran Power, Michael McNena and David O'Loughlin for the Tour of Hokkaido in Japan, has been confirmed as winner of the Callcard Classic League.
