Having won this year's Formula Palmer Audi European Championship and the top prize of a fully paid drive in the 2001 European Formula 3000 championship, life is pretty good right now for Donegal driver Damien Faulkner.

The Moville man has a great season to look back upon - 20 races, 20 race finishes, 13 podiums, seven pole positions, six wins, five lap records, four straight wins, three poles in a row. The highlights were at Spa Francorchamps, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch. But for all his success, right now Faulkner faces quite a dilemma. Does he take up the Formula 3000 drive with Astromega or switch to Indy Lights racing in America with Dorricott Racing?

All the Irish racing and rally championships for 2000 have been decided, including the Dunlop Driver of the Year Award, which went to Leinster Trophy race winner Paul Dagg (Drogheda).

Subaru drivers Andrew Nesbitt and James O'Brien and Paul Harris and Eugene O'Donnell are the respective winners of the Toshiba Tarmac Rally Championship and Dunlop National Rally Championship.
