CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUALIFIER TNS (0) v Bohemians (1):KEEPING THE expectations of a meeting with Belgian champions Anderlecht on a leash, Bohemians' manager Pat Fenlon remains wary of the threat TNS (The New Saints) pose to ending the reality of that lucrative third-round tie in Oswestry tonight.
Killian Brennan’s headed winner gave Bohemians a deserved 1-0 lead to bring to Wales, but Fenlon is adamant the tie remains in the balance.
“TNS gave us a tough game in Dublin already and the return match will be no different,” insisted Fenlon.
“In the Champions League you never get an easy draw and TNS showed everyone that they are a good side. The game the other night was end to end and this one might well be the same.
“I think anyone who watched the match would agree that there wasn’t much between the teams and we are under no illusions that it will be a difficult game for us.
“They have a few experienced players including a lad (central defender, Steve Evans) with seven international caps for Wales and I think that shows the quality of team they are.”
With a large travelling support of over 400 expected, Fenlon believes the Bohemians fans will have a big part to play.
“The good thing from our point of view is that we’ve got a big support going which is great,” said Fenlon. “It’s only a small ground so to get 400 or 500 Bohs fans in it will be a big plus for us.”
Striker Aaron Greene, who played in the friendly with Wolverhampton on Saturday, is fit to come back into the squad, leaving only defender Steven Gray and midfielder Anthony Murphy sidelined with Achilles injuries.
