Ferguson recalls Yorke up front

Alex Ferguson has insisted he has no problem with Dwight Yorke despite the striker's walk-out on Saturday

Alex Ferguson has insisted he has no problem with Dwight Yorke despite the striker's walk-out on Saturday. Ferguson has recalled Yorke for Manchester United's Champions League game with PSV Eindhoven tonight even though he left Old Trafford before the kick-off against Chelsea when he was told he had been dropped.

In public, at least, Ferguson claims he has settled his differences with the £12.6 million striker. He says he is bringing back Yorke, along with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, because he wants to freshen up his strike force following United's hectic schedule in the last few weeks.

"There's no problem," said Ferguson. "The situation is he's playing. That's an indication of the way I'm looking at it. He and Solskjaer will play up front."

Yorke, who also incurred Ferguson's wrath when he returned 24 hours late from international duty, can count himself fortunate he is not Mark Bosnich. While Yorke will be lining up in the Philips Stadium, Bosnich will be on the bench.

Ferguson is sticking with Raimond van der Gouw, in the continued absence of the injured Fabien Barthez, even though the United boss admitted the Dutchman's clanger against Chelsea was the turning point in the 3-3 draw.

In addition to Yorke and Solskjaer, Ferguson will also bring in Wes Brown, Phil Neville and Nicky Butt. Jaap Stam misses the chance to play against his old club because of his troublesome Achilles injury and he will have an operation on Saturday.

Ferguson had also wanted to give Ryan Giggs a rest and play Quinton Fortune. However Fortune, who has just returned from competing at the Olympics in Sydney with South Africa, could not get a visa.

MANCHESTER UTD (probable): Van der Gouw; Silvestre, Johnsen, Brown, P Neville; Giggs, Butt, Keane, Beckham; Yorke, Solskjaer.
