Fermanagh 2-13 Queen's University 0-10:IT'S TWO from two for Peter Canavan and his Fermanagh team in the Dr McKenna Cup with another impressive performance at Brewster Park seeing off Queen's University by nine points.
Séamus Quigley was the star of the show once again with 1-8 while second-half substitute Paul Ward hit a goal and a point.
It was 0-9 to 0-5 in Fermanagh’s favour at the break with the first half littered with free kicks. Quigley hit five for Fermanagh with Pat Cadden also weighing in with a converted placed ball. Both Cadden and Quigley hit a point each from play with Daryl Keenan also chipping in with a score.
Jim Kielt (two) Gregory Jordan and Donal O’Hare were on target for Queen’s. But Quigley effectively settled the game with a goal soon after the break, gathering a long ball before rounding the keeper to score.
Queen’s kept the scoreboard ticking over but Fermanagh saved the best to last with a nine-man move ending in Ward rolling the ball past the helpless goalkeeper.
