MOTORSPORT: Formula One world champion Michael Schumacher and Ferrari team-mate Rubens Barrichello escaped unhurt after crashes in testing yesterday.
The accidents ended Ferrari's test at Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya two days early, with the Italian team saying the shattered cars would be taken back to the factory for repair.
Schumacher walked away unhurt from the smoking wreckage of last year's F2001 after the crash into turn 12 at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Barrichello followed out two hours later when he ploughed off the track and into the tyre wall on turn nine, seriously damaging the second car. It was the Brazilian's second crash this month.
