James Adam can take a belated place in the spotlight by landing today's William Hill Handicap Chase at Hereford with Fils De Cresson.

He had hoped to hit the headlines by winning last month's Victor Chandler Chase with Monnaie Forte, laying his horse out for the race only to see an 11th hour setback rule him out.
