Cork proved much too strong for Wexford in the first of Saturday's All-Ireland senior camogie semi-finals at Parnell Park.

Cork's free-scoring attack swarmed all over Wexford during the opening half and well-taken goals from Una O'Donoghue and Elaine Burke helped them establish a 2-8 to 0-1 interval lead.

Sinead O'Callaghan set up O'Donoghue for Cork's opening goal after eight minutes. Nine minutes later, Burke rounded her marker to blast home an unstoppable effort to further extend Cork's lead and it took Wexford until the final minute of the opening half before Aoife Druhan managed to register their opening point.

Cork were in cruise control long before Evelyn Quigley grabbed a late consolationgoal for Wexford nine minutes from time.
