RACING/Cork Sunday preview: Barry Geraghty has decided to go to Cork tomorrow rather than ride at Fairyhouse which will only encourage those who fancy the chances of Macs Flamingo in the first race.

The champion jockey was so impressed with this one's win at Leopardstown over Christmas that he described him as "a serious horse" to trainer Pat Fahy.

Macs Flamingo was denied the chance to prove Geraghty right last weekend when Navan was rained off but looks to have found an easier opportunity this time in the conditions hurdle.

Golden Exchange is a very decent prospect who jumped particularly well in breaking his duck at Limerick but he doesn't come here with the expectation that Macs Flamingo carries.

Geraghty is also on the prolific Asian Maze who goes for a fifth success in a row in the mares novice hurdle.

Last time out she bombed up from Sunami Storm at Punchestown, the ratings say she has 10lb in hand of The Screamer.

Penny Rich has a 122 rating that makes a pretty convincing argument for success in the Blackwater Hurdle and that one's jockey Keith Hadnett may also pick up the three-mile handicap hurdle with Sondheim who returned from an eight-month absence to run promisingly at Limerick last time out.

Geraghty is on the Noel Meade trained Captain Sunshine in the maiden hurdle but preference in this race is for the course bumper winner Mandm.

This one ran into a bit of a train on a subsequent start at Leopardstown and ultimately wound up being a 25-length runner up to Travino.

On soft ground there aren't too many bumper horses in the country who would have got much closer and tomorrow's maiden hurdle doesn't look as hot a proposition.
