Division Two A Round-up: Dublin full forward Kevin Flynn was the hat-trick goal hero in Dublin's 5-23 to 1-7 victory yesterday over Wicklow at Parnell Park.

Wicklow matched Dublin in the opening half, being level twice, but it was Flynn who ended the challenge with his timely goal strikes.

He scored the first of his goals in the eighth minute but Wicklow recovered and a goal from Andy O'Brien and a point by Jonathan O'Neill brought the visitors level again after 21 minutes - 1-3 each.Flynn goaled twice in first-half injury-time to leave Dublin 3-7 to 1-5 ahead at the break.

Dublin were in almost complete command in the second half with centre forward David Curtin very much on song as he brought his total for the match to 11 points.

Dublin's fourth goal came on 52 minutes, scored by Andrew McCrabbe, and the fifth goal was scored in the 68th minute through Stewart Mullen.

Meath dug deep to beat Carlow by 0-13 to 0-8 at Navan's Pairc Tailteann yesterday. The home side lost Stephen Clynch, who was shown a straight red card following an off the ball incident after 34 minutes. Matters were evened up when Carlow's Edward Coady picked up a second yellow card after 61 minutes.

After the visitors led by 0-6 to 0-4 at the break Meath had the better of the second period and Nicky Horan finished up with eight points, all from placed balls.

In the last of yesterday's Division Two A matches Derry came out winners over Roscommon in Knockrockery, winning by 3-13 to 1-12.
