Flynn scores as Waterford go on spree

Waterford ... 4-12 Meath ... 1-5: Two first-half Paul Flynn goals set up Waterford for an easy victory over |Meath in Dungarvan on Saturday.

Flynn's brace helped Waterford to a 2-4 to 1-3 lead at the interval. Meath's goal came in the 29th minute when Mike Cole capitalised on an error by Stephen Brenner. Waterford led by 2-8 to 1-3 entering the final quarter and substitute Michael White added a further brace of goals.
