Gaelic Games Connacht League/Leitrim 1-10 Sligo 0-7: Michael Foley fired six superb points, all from frees, as Leitrim sent Dom Corrigan's Sligo tumbling to their second FBD Connacht League defeat on the trot. Des Dolan's side were never headed in a rather one-sided game at Tubbercurry yesterday.

John McKeon opened the scoring with a Leitrim point after two minutes and the visitors, thanks to Foley's accuracy from placed balls, were four points ahead before Sligo opened their account with a Gerry McGowan point after 15 minutes.

Sligo's cause was not helped with the sin-binning of John Marren and David Durkin early in the first half. Leitrim's Chris Carroll was also sent to the sin bin in that half.

Leitrim put the game out of their opponents' reach after 20 minutes when James Holohan broke through for the only goal of the game. Leitrim led 1-6 to 0-1 at half-time.
