I found the clubs to be very pleasant, if lighter than the Ping irons which I use myself. The different clubs felt good in the hand and, having spent some time knocking a couple of hundred balls on the range one night, I also found them to be give the same distance.

To be honest, I felt there was much of a muchness with all the clubs and, while they were good, I didn't find myself getting madly excited. If pressed, I'd probably choose the DX as my favourite one because it seems to fit my groove of swing. I have a tendency to cut the ball and I was happy to find that the fade wasn't enhanced at all using the DX.

I used the clubs a bit in ordinary play, but mainly on the range and there is a considerable difference between hitting a ball off the mat rather than turf. However, the results generally were very favourable and, after getting consistent results for some time, I even intentionally speeded up on my swing in an attempt to concoct an appalling shot but without success, and I suppose that says a lot for how forgiving they are.

The VIP has a bigger head than the DX or MC but it is not huge and I was very taken with the balance and feel of all the clubs. The shafts were nice and stiff and the grips were good too.

But I found them to be all quite similar, even though they are different irons. It's a bit like choosing a car and being asked would you prefer a green one, a red one or a black one.
