SENIORS TOUR: US Tour player Bruce Fleisher has committed to playing in the AIB Irish Seniors Open, which takes place at Adare Manor on May 17th-19th.

The American won the championship two years ago but was unable to defend his title last year and his return will be a significant boost for an event which is now one of the flagship tournaments on the European Seniors Tour and carries a prizefund of €300,000.

"We're delighted Bruce is returning," said Andy Stubbs, managing director of the European Seniors Tour. "I suppose you might say it represents his delayed defence of the title, but his presence in a truly international field in an outstanding venue makes it an irresistible cocktail."

Fleisher has won 14 tournaments on the US PGA Seniors Tour and in 2000 became the first player on that circuit to break $2 million in official earnings.
