Saturday's All-Ireland Club Football Sevens - the traditional curtain-raiser to the main final 24 hours later - promises to be the most competitive yet. Hosted by Kilmacud Crokes, 48 teams from around the country will battle for the title.
Galway's Corofin are back to defend the title they won last year over Derry's Ballinderry - although Ray Silke and Martin McNamara won't be available because of more pressing matters the day after. Among the other contenders are likely to be Meath's Skryne and Dublin side Ballyboden-St Endas. Now in its 27th year, the tournament will be televised live by TV3 for the first time.
First-round games begin at 11.0 and the final is set for 6.0 p.m. in Glenalbyn.
