FAI Cup report: St Patrick's Athletic had secured their passage through to the FAI Cup quarter-finals within 15 minutes of this surprisingly one-sided third-round tie at Richmond Park.
St Patrick's were 2-0 up inside seven minutes, with the third score coming eight minutes later to end the game as a contest.
The first goal on five minutes just about summed up Dublin City's night, striker Alan O'Connor gifting the ball to the retreating Darragh Maguire and the central defender running clear to set up David Freeman for a simple tap in.
Two minutes later Keith Fahy's superbly flighted corner was headed home powerfully by his captain, Paul Osam. A delightful solo effort from Charles Mbabazi Livingstone wrapped up the scoring.
