US Tour: Aaron Baddeley overcame the challenge of Jim Furyk to capture the Heritage Classic in Hilton Head, South Carolina last night. The 25-year-old Australian finished with a 66 for a 15-under-par total of 269, one stroke ahead of Furyk, who posted a final round of 68.

Baddeley, two behind his rival at one stage, moved to into the lead on 16-under par with a birdie on the par-five 15th.

The pressure began to take its toll, with both players bogeying the short 17th, but Baddeley held his nerve on the final hole to secure the victory.

Both had gone out in one-under-par 35s, with the Baddeley picking up birdies at the par five second and fifth, and the par three fourth, but then dropping shots on the seventh and eighth.
