Replay not on offerGalway will not be offering Leitrim a replay of their controversial Connacht League clash where match referee Declan Corcoran admitted sending off a player in error.

Galway football board chairman John Joe Holleran said that while it was regrettable Leitrim midfielder Michael Duignan was sent off in error, a replay of the match was not on the cards."The referee has admitted his mistake and apologised to all involved and that should be the end of the matter. Referees make mistakes, it is only human nature, but you cannot go replaying matches every time one happens," said Holleran.

Holleran said he did not think the dismissal of Duignan in the third quarter had a big bearing on the outcome of the game, which was won by Galway on a 0-13 to 1-9 scoreline. "Ironically, they played far better after he was sent off and scored a string of points."

GAA invite Rolland

Rugby World Cup final referee Alain Rolland will address the GAA's top referees next Tuesday in Athlone on the key issues of fitness and discipline. Referees spokesman Fr Séamus Gardiner said: "We will be asking Alain how he prepares and deals with discipline because we are always very envious of discipline on the rugby field."

Limerick manager Mickey Ned O'Sullivan makes three changes for tomorrow's McGrath Cup semi-final against Limerick IT from the side who beat Tralee IT last Sunday.
