ALL-IRELAND CLUB FC FINAL: Tony Kernan is almost certain to miss Crossmaglen's All-Ireland club football final replay against Dr Crokes next Sunday after suffering a knee injury in Armagh's 1-8 to 0-9 Ulster under-21 championship win over defending champions Tyrone at the weekend.

Kernan had not been expected to play because of his club's involvement in the club decider at Portlaoise but in a surprise move, he and club colleague Stephen Finnegan were in the starting line-up as late replacements.

CAMOGIE: Two goals from Michelle Hearn helped Wexford register a decisive 4-10 to 1-8 win over Kilkenny in a Division One A clash at Nowlan Park yesterday.

Wexford top the table with full points from their three games. They led 3-6 to 0-3 at the interval with Kate Kelly, Una Lacey and Caitriona Parrock all playing prominent roles.

Four minutes after the restart a Jackie Frisby goal gave Kilkenny some confidence. But Wexford went on to win convincingly.

Elsewhere in Division One A at Toomevara, goals from Michelle Short, Emily Hayden, Jill Horan and Geraldine Kinane earned Tipperary a 4-12 to 1-8 win over Dublin. Dublin had led 1-5 to 0-6 thanks to a goal from full forward Sarah Ryan.

Galway's failure to score in the second half of their Division One A tie with Cork proved costly as the Rebels registered a 0-9 to 0-7 win on home soil at Cloughduv after Galway led 0-7 to 0-2 at the break.

Meanwhile, on Saturday St Mary's, Magherafelt became the first Ulster school to claim the All-Ireland Colleges senior A title when they defeated St Mary's, Athenry 2-10 to 2-6.

COLLEGES GAA: Goals from Paul Guinan and Shane Maher helped Kilkenny CBS defeat St Flannan's 2-12 to 1-14 in the All-Ireland Colleges senior hurling quarter-final.
