Finally, Clare got promoted. After coming up just short for the previous three years, the county got out of Division Four for the first time since the league was re-organised seven years ago. Colm Collins has done well in his first season to get the best players involved, including his hurling sons, Seán and All Star Podge. Should make the Munster semi-final.

Last good day: Two years ago Clare beat Limerick to reach their first provincial final in 12 years, which they lost to Cork.
