Eamonn Fitzmaurice’s rebuilding plans were shaken when Colm Cooper ruptured his cruciate in February. Former players of the year Tomás Ó Sé and Paul Galvin have retired but Kerry still have quality players and relative newcomer and All-Star James O’Donoghue was one of the top five scorers in the league with 5-24. Maybe All-Ireland is unlikely but they’ll have a big say.

Last good day: Brilliant semi-final defeat against Dublin last year.
