Colin Walshe comes in for his first championship start for Monaghan since sustaining a serious knee injury against Dublin in last year’s All-Ireland quarter-final. Ironically he replaces Drew Wylie who himself damaged his cruciate in recent days and who will miss the rest of the season.
Otherwise Malachy O’Rourke’s team to face Fermanagh is unchanged from that which started against Cavan.
Limerick and Tipperary hurlers will name their teams this evening for Sunday’s Munster semi-final in the Gaelic Grounds. The stands have already sold out but terrace tickets remain available. Despite some injury concerns in Limerick during the week, it was confirmed last night that team manager TJ Ryan would have a full pick apart from long-term injury casualty Nickie Quaid and Seán Tobin, suspended after picking up a red against Clare.
Roscommon boss John Evans has made two changes to his starting 15 for tomorrow evening’s Connacht semi-final against Sligo.
Ronan Stack at right wing back and Conor Daly at right wing forward are included, replacing Donal Ward and Donie Shine.
Sligo manager Niall Carew names four debutants. Left corner back and wing back Daniel Maye and Eoin Flanagan come into the defence and right wing forward Criostóir Davey also starts. Centrefielder Cian Breheny, a nephew of team captain Mark, completes the newcomers.
