The Munster Senior Football final replay between Cork and Kerry has been confirmed as a 7pm throw-in on Saturday July 18th.
The match will take place at Fitzgerald Stadium, Killarney - the venue for last weekend’s drawn final.
This will be the first major game held in Killarney on a Saturday since the 2004 qualifier between Cork and Tipperary, a fixture which resulted in traffic problems throughout the area.
Because of this, Garda insisted the game start as late as possible, hence it not getting underway until 7pm.
With RTE looking to broadcast the fixture it is likely Sky will agree to move their evening televised game to a 3pm slot.
The final was taken to a replay after Kerry’s Fionn Fitzgerald sent over a 72nd minute point, leaving the final score Kerry 2-15 to 3-12.
