Holders Corofin blasted out a significant warning at Tuam Stadium when ruthlessly dismantling Milltown by 4-14 to 0-2 at the semi-final stage of the Galway Senior Football Championship.
Stephen Rochford’s team delivered a purposeful performance, seizing the initiative early on against a Milltown outfit that struggled throughout.
Despite dominating, Corofin only led by 0-6 to 0-1 at the interval, but they were efficient and enterprising after the restart.
Goals from Liam Silke, Micheal Lundy, Ian Burke, and Martin Farragher sealed Corofin’s convincing victory.
Milltown had Seán Blake and Ciaran Blake red carded in the closing stages as Corofin claimed an emphatic 24-point success.
