Holders pip Monaleen in a thrilling finish

Drumcollogher-Broadford 2-9 Monaleen 2-7

Dromcollogher's dominance of Limerick football continued when they won their seventh title since 2001 in a gripping finish at Newcastle West.

Darragh Bonfil fired home an early goal for Monaleen but their only other score of the first half was a pointed free by Gerry Collins after 21 minutes.

Drom-Broadford battled back and Michael Reidy’s late goal just before the break from a penalty helped them to lead 1-4 to 1-1 at the interval,

Killian Phayer had a second goal for Drom-Broadford but Monaleen hit three points without reply and Ger Collins' goal from a late penalty put only a point between them. But Garrett Noonan got the winners' insurance score.
