Tipperary's Borris-Illeigh claimed both All-Ireland senior-junior sevens hurling titles in Dublin on Saturday.

Boosted by excellent displays from the likes of Tipperary senior players Brendan Maher and Conor Kenny, the Premier County club captured the One Direct Kilmacud senior sevens honours for the sixth time, beating county rivals Loughmore-Castleiney in the decider.

Former Kildare player Kenny bagged five goals in the final, as his adopted club claimed a 10-7 to 5-12 final win.

Maher landed two first-half goals, with Dan McCormack and Kenny also finding the net, on the way to a 5-4 to 2-11 interval advantage and they never looked back.

Kieran McGrath and Cian Hennessy kept Loughmore in touch, but Borris-Ileigh hit them hard on the restart.

Inside 90 seconds of the throw-in Kenny and Maher both smashed the ball to the net, to open up an eight point advantage.

Loughmore hit back, with player of the tournament Noel McGrath among those on target, but Borris-Ileigh hit three unanswered goals on the way to a 10-point win.

At St Judes, Borris-Ileigh captured the Volkswagen St Judes All-Ireland junior title with a 3-6 to 2-5 win over Galway’s Abbeyknockmoy.

A Cathal Bourke hat-trick helped Borris-Ileigh to a 3-2 to 0-2 interval lead, and although Paul Flaherty and John Culhane netted for Abbeyknockmoy, Borris-Ileigh held out.

Conor McKee and Conor Corvan netted goals for Armagh's Keady Lamh Dhearg in their 3-8 to 2-4 win over Donegal's Setanta in the All-Ireland senior shield final in Kilmacud.

There was further Tipperary joy in St Judes, with Seán Treacy's capturing All-Ireland junior shield honours, thanks to a 3-7 to 1-2 win over Warwickshire club John Mitchels.

Meanwhile, also at Kilmacud Crokes, the host club won the All-Ireland sevens under 13 final, with a 4-8 to 0-0 win over Maynooth from Kildare.
