Maintained last year’s almost startling improvement in proving competitive in the league and reaching the quarter-finals. Séamus Plunkett’s ability to get everyone on the same page and going in one direction has consolidated the improvement. The problem may be that Laois will be a more visible target this year. Still, they are favourites for the round robin and won’t fear a crack at Wexford.

Last good day: Put it up to Galway in last year's Leinster semi-final.
