McInerney’s goals help Cratloe into Clare senior football final

Cratloe are on course to claim their first Clare senior football title.

Two goals from Clare All-Ireland hurling winner Cathal McInerney helped them to a deserved win over Éire Óg at Clarecastle yesterday.

Éire Óg began well and enjoyed a 0-5 to 0-2 lead by the 25th minute when McInerney fired home from a penalty. Podge Collins added a point and Cratloe led 1-3 to 0-5 at the interval.

After 46 minutes McInerney scrambled home a rebound after a fine run to make it 2-4 to 0-7.
