UUJ 0-14 St Mary’s 1-6
Donegal forward Paddy McBrearty top-scored with five points as Sigerson Cup hosts UUJ confirmed their place in next weekend’s semi-finals.
McBrearty hit three first-half frees as a star-studded UUJ line-up coasted into a 0-7 to 0-2 interval lead at Jordanstown.
Down’s Jerome Johnston made a huge impact off the bench, scoring 1-2 from play in the second half including a well-taken goal in the 45th minute which he created himself.
Tyrone trio Ronan McNamee, Conan Grugan and Ritchie Donnelly all scored from play in the last 10 minutes against the wind with UUJ finishing strongly.
