Lough Lene Gaels ... 4-11 Castletowngeoghegan ... 2-12Two minutes into injury-time and Castletowngeoghegan had their dreams of victory turned to defeat as Lough Lene Gaels twice found the net to claim their seventh Westmeath senior hurling title at Cusack Park, Mullingar, yesterday.

Castletowngeoghegan, trailing 2-7 to 0-9 at half-time, came back into it when Ronan Whelan swept a 38th-minute penalty to the net, and Pat Clarke's point put the losers ahead for the first time. In four minutes of injury-time, however, the Gaels spoiled the party with Daniel Carty firing past John Jackson and John Kennedy sealed the issue with his second goal in the 64th minute.
