Leinster MFC Round-up:Meath must take the back door route if they are to hold on to their Leinster minor football crown after losing to Dublin on a 2-11 to 1-7 scoreline at Parnell Park on Saturday.
Dublin always looked the sharper of the two sides with a free from Barry O'Rourke putting them ahead for the first time on 10 minutes.
With Ted Furman giving the home team plenty of options at left corner forward, Dublin had opened up 0-7 to 0-3 lead by the time their centre forward Felim McMahon converted a penalty on the half hour.
Meath, however, went into the half-time break in more positive mood when Neil Heffernan found the net in first-half injury-time after John Broderick's initial shot had been tipped on to the crossbar.
Although Brian Sheridan pointed for Meath on the restart, Dublin then delivered the telling blow when they responded with Shane Gallagher's goal.
Elsewhere, Derek Maguire led the comeback for Louth as they overcame Kildare in Dundalk on a 1-12 to 0-13 scoreline.
The two teams were level at half-time with Louth's profligacy seeing them shoot eight first-half wides.
Having trailed Kildare by four points Louth eventually took control with Derek Maguire's three-point haul seeing them overtake the visitors in the closing stages.
In the other three games, Paul Cunningham was Wicklow's top scorer in their 2-14 to 0-8 win over Offaly while Ian Coffey's 30th minute penalty sent Westmeath on their way to a convincing 1-16 to 1-5 win over Wexford.
Saturday's remaining Leinster minor championship game saw Longford edge Carlow out on a 2-7 to 2-4 scoreline.
