Galway SF Semi-finals/ Caltra 0-13 Killererin 0-13: Galway intercounty star Padraic Joyce kicked seven points in the opening half of this Galway senior club football semi-final but it still was not enough to book their place in the final as Caltra struck for an equaliser deep into stoppage time of a dramatic clash at Tuam Stadium yesterday.
Caltra's unlikely hero was John Galvin who displayed great composure to land an equalising point from 30 yards three minutes into stoppage time.
Killererin seemed poised for victory when wing-back Ian Reddington edged them in front in the first minute of injury-time.
With Joyce in top form - including three superb points from play - Killererin led by 0-10 to 0-6 at the interval.
But Michael and Declan Meehan inspired a comeback by the 2004 All-Ireland club champions, although they never managed to go ahead.
Nicky Joyce - Padraic's cousin - landed four points from play to keep Killererin ahead but they were unable to hold on to their lead and now the sides must meet again to resolve matters next weekend.
