Galway United have been rewarded for their defeat of league champions St Patrick's Athletic last Friday with another home draw at the semi-final stage of the Harp Lager FAI Cup.

Don O'Riordan's team, which edged through to the last four thanks to an Eric Lavine goal, will play either Finn Harps or Kilkenny City while last year's beaten finalists Shelbourne have been drawn at home to the winners of the replay between Bray Wanderers and Sligo Rovers.

"It's a great draw for us," said O'Riordan last night . . . We feel that we can give anybody at all a game down there."

The draw will have been a disappointment, however, for the Premier Division strugglers Bray and Sligo as neither would have been hoping for a trip to Shelbourne. They have already beaten Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians and Derry City in this year's competition and who are now firm favourites to win the trophy again this season.
