Last night's Galway crowd of 18,995 was down over 1,500 on last year and the bookmaker turnover figure was also slightly down to £1,412,409 from last year's £1,415,875.

However it didn't stop the attendance betting a new second day Tote record of £615,570, up over £37,000 on last year.

The bookmaker turnover on Monday was £1,131,308.
