Sligo 0-9 Galway 1-4:Galways failure to score for 28 minutes of the second half proved to be their undoing in this Connacht FBD league game at Enniscrone.

The Tribesmen got off to a dream start in the first half with two points by Peadar Ó Griofa and they went five points ahead when Danny Cummins blasted the ball to the net in the 15th minute.

A couple of frees by top marksman Mark Breheny and points from play by Kenneth Sweeney and Brian Egan kept the Yeatsmen well in touch (1-2) to (0-4) at half-time.

Egan brought Sligo level 10 minutes into the second half before Breheny gave them a lead in the 44th minute which they never relilnquished.
