Golf:West Waterford may have eased into the final of the Senior Cup with a 4-1 win over Castlerock but tomorrow's finalist Galway were made to for their place as they overcame a defiant Laytown & Bettystown side during the Bulmers Cups and Shields finals at Tullamore Golf Club today.
Damian Glynn was Galway’s hero as his tense 19th hole win over Russell Durnin proved the decisive match.
There was sheer delight among the Letterkenny contingent as the Donegal side defeated Corrstown 3-2 to land the Pierce Purcell Shield.
In the Jimmy Bruen Shield semi-finals Waterford and Nenagh booked their place in tomorrow’s final after their respective semi-final wins over Carrick-on-Shannon and Foyle.
