A squad of six riders and seven horses has been named for the three-day event at next month's World Equestrian Games in Pratoni del Vivaro.
Lucy Thompson, who took individual gold with Welton Romance when the European championships were held at the Italian venue three years ago, has been named with both the mare and her half-brother Welton Molecule, but still has to prove her fitness to the selectors after sustaining a back injury.
Eric Smiley and Enterprise have once again been called into service and will be joined by Virginia McGrath and The Yellow Earl. Mark Kyle (Irish Patriot) and Jane O'Flynn (Ladakha) have also been named, along with newcomer Stuart Crawford (Kingatchacuk). Sasha Harrison (All Love Du Fenaud) and Joanne Jarden (Bellecanna) have been named as non-travelling reserves.
