Garbally advanced to the semi-finals of the Connacht Schools' Junior Cup by overcoming St Patrick's in a tightly contested quarter-final at Tuam. Garbally took an early lead through a try by Simon Leonard, who added the conversion. Derek Payne landed a penalty for St Patrick's just before the interval but the second half was scoreless.
