Golf:Sergio Garcia moved to the top of the leaderboard after the third round of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 32-year-old Spaniard had five birdies and a bogey at the par four 14th to card a round 66 which gives him a single shot advantage at Sedgefield Country Club.

Garcia is looking forward to the final round of the final tournament of the season, ahead of the FedEx Cup play-offs.

He told www.pgatour.com: "Obviously I would love to be two, three shots better but I'm in a good situation. It's going to be a tough day, there's no doubt about it. A lot of very good players behind me are trying to achieve the same thing I'm trying to achieve.

"Hopefully I'll go out there in the final round, play well again and give myself a good shot at winning."

Those in closest pursuit are American Bud Cauley and South African Tim Clark, who fired 66 and 67 respectively in their third rounds.

Jason Dufner, Harris English and Sweden's Carl Pettersson, who fired a 62 in the first round and is a member at the club, are a further shot adrift.

Dufner, a 35-year-old from Ohio, produced the round of the day. His 63 included birdies at the first, third, fifth, eighth, 15th, 16th and 18th holes.

Overnight leader Jimmy Walker slipped out of contention with a 71, joining fellow Americans Davis Love and Matt Every on 11 under - three shots off the lead.

A 71 did US Open winner Webb Simpson's hopes no favours either, leaving him a shot further back alongside six others.

Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts was two shots further back after a 69, while England's Gary Christian moved into a share of 33rd place after a third round 67 which left him on six under. Scotland's Russell Knox was a shot further back after a 69. However, Paul Casey endured an erratic round which left him two shots adrift of the field on five under par. The Englishman signed for a 77 which contained just five pars.

Birdies at the first, third, sixth, eighth and ninth holes were interspersed with a double bogey at the second, triple bogey at the fourth and quadruple bogey at the following hole.

Although the 35-year-old showed more consistency on the back nine, at five over par his challenge was over.
