Tiger Woods's victory in the US Masters on Sunday will ensure that he is unbackable to all but the most serious punters for the remaining majors - US Open, British Open, US PGA - this season. Ladbrokes are now quoting him at 6 to 4 for each of the other three majors and admitted to losing heavily on his victory at Augusta.
Woods is now being quoted at 10 to 1 to complete the Grand Slam (as opposed to the Tiger Slam) in winning all four majors in the one season: the odds on him accomplishing that prior to Augusta were 20 to 1. Having been weaned on a diet of Masters fare this week's European tour event, the Moroccan Open boasts a more modest collection of talent.
Ireland's Paul McGinley heads the betting alongside Swede Robert Karlsson at 12 to 1 with Scotland's Andrew Coltart two points further back at 14 to 1. Looking at value for money, Spain's Ignacio Garrido looks a decent each way prospect at 40 to 1, a mark which he shares with a revitalised Justin Rose. David Howell on 33 to 1 is another who rates a mention but taking the Spaniard seems the best value.
12/1 - R Karlsson, P McGinley.
14/1 - A Coltart.
20/1 - J Bickerton, E Boult, N Henning, P Lonard.
25/1 - M Blackey, D Lynn, T Immelmann, B Vaughan.
33/1 - D Howell, G Owen, I Poulter.
40/1 - J Spence, I Garrido, J Rose.
