ULSTER BANK LEAGUE DIVISION ONE A Garryowen 38 UL Bohemian 3:Garryowen romped to a bonus-try win in a rare one-sided Limerick derby in the All-Ireland League when they proved far too strong for UL-Bohemian at Dooradoyle last night.
The game was over as a contest by half-time by which stage Garryowen led 21-3 and the only question waiting to be answered was when they would score their fourth try.
It came after 66 minutes when Ronan O’Mahony rounded off a superb passing movement to touch down beside the posts. For good measure they added a fifth by Dave Sherry just at the end.
James Rael went into action after two minutes when hooker Dave Rowley was injured and he got two of their first-half tries with the other being scored by Conan Doyle who was injured in the process and Geoff Ryan took over the kicking duties and landed one penalty and four conversions.
Ben Martin kicked a penalty for the losers when they were 14-0 in arrears.
